SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

LEDGE REQUIRED OF THE USER
All users must be properly trained and
knowledgeable about how the machine
works and any residual risks present during
its operation.
Users must be able to apply all the good
practices in compliance with food hygiene
principles.

Even though the machine is provided
with all the safety devices required to
eliminate possible risks for the User, there
are still certain residual risks.
Such risks are related to machine parts
that may pose a risk to users, if operated
improperly, assessed or deactivated incor-
rectly, or because the prescriptions con-
tained in this Manual were circumvented.
The machine is also equipped with
appropriate warnings placed on residual
risk areas, which must be scrupulously
observed.
The following residual risks present
when the machine is in operation and be-
ing used, must be observed as they cannot
be eliminated:

Consuming beverages that have been
prepared in this espresso machine will ex-
pose you to lead, a chemical known to the
State of California to cause birth defects or
other reproductive harm.
ELECTRICAL HAZARD
When using the electrical appliance,
several safety standards must be observed:
• Do not touch the appliance with wet or
damp hands or feet;
• Do not use the appliance barefooted;
• Do not use extension cords in rooms
where there are showers or baths;
• Do not pull the power cord to disconnect
the appliance;
• The appliance's power cord must not be
replaced by users. If the cords is dam-
aged, turn the appliance off and contact
a Qualified Technician.
• Do not leave the appliance exposed to
atmospheric agents (rain, sun, etc.);
• Do not access the inside of the machine;
• Do not spill liquids on the machine;
• Do not allow the appliance to be used by
children or incompetent people.
