2. Setup instructions
The QPSK-PAL UFO 394 twin transponder is set up via the central controller for the UFG 3xx base unit.
The following instructions apply generally:
To view the software versions of the boot loader, controller and channel unit, press the three "<<", ">>" and "?" buttons
simultaneously
Select a desired parameter using the cursor buttons "→" or "←"
The selected parameter will fl ash
To move to another editable parameter, press the Up-/Down-Scroll buttons ("+"/"-")
When inputting the satellite frequency and the symbol rate, it is easiest to input each decimal point separately.
To do this, fi rst select the respective parameter using the cursor buttons "→" or "←", then press the cursor buttons "→" and
"←" simultaneously. Now the desired position of the decimal point can be activated using one of the cursor buttons.
The scroll button can be used to move the respective position of the decimal point.
Normal operating mode can be resumed by once again pressing the cursor buttons "→" and "←"
For a more detailed explanation of the selected parameter, press the "?" button
New channel unit data should be saved by pressing the red "Save" button only once the module
has successfully completed its acquisition procedure and the TV channels found are shown in the display.
If the settings are changed but not saved, after about 10 minutes the channel unit will revert to its original parameters.
From pressing the Memory button "M", the time to perform the save is approx. 3 seconds.
