1 - OVERVIEW

You have purchased class III personal protective equipment (PPE) for protection against the risk of
serious injury and fatality and we thank you for the trust that you have placed in us. In order to ensure
you are completely satisfied with this product, we ask you, BEFORE EACH USE, to follow the instruc-
tions in this manual.
This manual covers the automatic fall-arrest apparatus described in the list of products on page 2-5
of Appendix 1.

This equipment is an EN360:2002-certified fall-arrest system, i.e. a personal protective system
against free falls and limiting the force of impact on the user's body when arresting a fall by absor-
bing energy (<6kN).
It has undergone a standard EC examination with a notified body (see Appendix 5, page 208-211),
which issued an EC certificate confirming that all equipment produced and the corresponding ins-
tructions comply with Directive 89/686/EEC and delivers the following performance in compliance
with standard 360.2002.
WARNING:
Failure to act in accordance with the instructions set out in this manual may have serious
consequences. We recommend you reread these instructions periodically. In addition, the manu-
facturer or its representative assumes no liability for use, storage or maintenance performed in a
manner other than that described in these instructions.
The cover provided under the product warranty is also subject to compliance with the manufactu-
rer's instructions. Failure to comply will result in the warranty being voided. This warranty is given to
only one purchaser of the product from the manufacturer, unless otherwise stipulated by contrac-
tual provisions to the contrary approved by the manufacturer.
IF THE PURCHASER IS NOT THE USER, HE MUST PASS ON THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO THE LATTER.
WHENEVER POSSIBLE, IT IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED THAT PPE IS PERSONALLY ASSIGNED TO A
