does not prevent free falls, but limits the drop;
enables the user to reach places and positions where there is a risk of falling but arrests a fall if it occurs;
continues to suspend the user after arresting the fall.
A fall-arrest system must be implemented in such a way as to prevent the user from hitting the ground,
a structure or any other obstacle (taking into account the risk of the pendulum effect). See figure 1.
The free space underneath the user's feet must be determined. (see paragraph 7.5).
RODUCT COMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER PPE (HARNESSES, ANCHORS AND CONNECTING

A fall-arrest harness must be the only appropriate device for holding the body used with this fall-
arrest system. It must comply with EN 361 / EN 358.
The anchoring device to which this system is connected must comply with EN 795. Structural an-
chors can also be used (i.e. elements permanently attached to a structure such as a wall or post,
etc.) Connectors must comply with the EN 362 standard
2 - TRAINING
The use of our products is restricted to competent persons having undergone appropriate training
(provided by an authorised person or organisation) or under the supervision of a competent superior.
The completion of this training must be recorded by the issue of a course certificate showing the date,
location, name and company of the trainer or training organisation, the full name of the user, etc.
Make yourself familiar with this PPE and ensure you have fully understood how it works (see
paragraph 7).
Anyone performing work at height should be in good physical condition. Certain medical conditions
(medication, cardiovascular condition, etc.) may impair the safety of the user during normal use of the
PPE. If in doubt, check with your doctor.
3 - COMPLIANCE WITH THE EUROPEAN STANDARD EN 360 : 2002
Automatic fall-arrest blocks that comply with European Standard EN 360 are sub-systems that consist
of one of the fall-arrest systems covered by EN 363 when they are combined with a fall-arrest harness
specified in EN 361.
4 - TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
Proper storage of your PPE will ensure better product longevity, whilst also ensuring your safety.
During transport and storage phases, make sure your PPE is hung away from heat sources, humidity,
corrosive atmosphere, ultraviolet rays, etc. and prevent your PPE from being subjected to any impact
or excessive vibration. See figure 11
5 - CLEANING
Proper care of your PPE will ensure a longer life for the product, whilst also ensuring your safety.
Be sure to adhere strictly to these guidelines:
Clean with water and mild soap. Do not use any solvents, acids or bases under any circumstances.
Allow to dry naturally in a well ventilated area away from any open fire or other heat source.
