THE FIRST TIME
Before using the grill for the first time, take
a little time to become familiar with it. With
the appliance disconnected from the mains,
turn it to the different positions and change
the plates.
Clean the plates with a soft cloth and allow
them to dry.
Grease the plates with olive oil.

• Lid upright (plates perpendicular)
(Fig. 2)
Starting with the grill in closed position
and with the catch in intermediate
position, open the grill, moving the lid
back until it reaches its limit.
This working position is to be used
when you do not wish the upper plate
to come into contact with the food.
• Adaptable to food shape
Starting from the position described
in the previous paragraph, that is,
with the lid upright, place the food on
the lower heater plate and close the
grill by gently lowering the lid until it
is resting on the food.
This position is used for grilling and
browning both sides of the food
simultaneously.
• Plates parallel (Fig. 3)
Open the grill, placing it in lid
upright position. Place the food on the
lower heater plate and pull the lid up
until it reaches its limit. Then turn it
forward until it is supported. The
upper heater plate is now suspended
above the lower plate.
This position is used for crisping,
reheating, and in general for using
the grill as a traditional oven.
• Plates open to 180º (Fig. 4)
With the grill closed, lift up the
locking and support catch (f), placing
it in vertical position, and press it
down to lock it.
Open the grill, moving the lid to
upright position, and with the grill in
this position pull the lid up until it
reaches its limit. Then turn the lid
back until the catch is resting on the
table or work surface.
To unlock the catch, pull it upwards
until it reaches its limit, and turn it to
intermediate or closed position.
This position is for grilling twice the
amount of food at one time, as twice
the surface area is used.
2. REVERSIBLE PLATES (a)
• When handling the plates, the grill
must be unplugged from the mains
and the heater plates must have
cooled down completely.
