Congratulations on purchasing this
Bosch appliance. You have acquired
a high-quality product that will bring you
a lot of enjoyment.
These operating instructions describe a hair
straightener.
Parts and operating
controls
1 ON/OFF switch with red indicator light
2 Heated plates (for straightening)
3 Heated surfaces (for curls)
Operation
  ■ Plug in the appliance and place on a
level, heat-resistant surface.
  ■ Turn on with switch 1: the red indicator
lamp will light up.
  ■ The hair straightener now heats up and is
ready for use after approx. 50 seconds.
Note: The appliance can be operated at
voltages between 100 V and 240 V. The
time it takes for the appliance to heat up
can vary depending on the voltage.
Use
W Risk of burns!
Never allow appliance to come into contact
with skin (scalp or ears).
You can not only use the straightener to get
smooth hair, you can also create curls and
waves, or apply it to the roots of the hair for
extra volume.
  ■ The appliance is primarily suitable for
short or medium-length hair, or for fresh-
ening up individual sections.
  ■ Use the appliance only on dry hair.
8
Note: Fine hair responds particularly quickly
to the treatment with the heating plates.
The even heat emission of the heating
plates is especially gentle on the hair.
The result is smooth hair with an intensive,
silky shine.
Important: Never apply in one place for
longer than 2 seconds.
Straightening your hair (Figures A)
  ■ Comb the hair and section it into even
strands.
  ■ Starting from the roots, place a strand of
hair between the plates (Figure a).
  ■ Press the plates together and pull down
gently and evenly toward the ends of the
hair (Figure b).
  ■ Treat all strands in the same manner.
Allow hair to cool completely before
styling.
Tip: For shoulder-length hair, each strand
should take about 10 seconds.
Curling your hair (Figures B)
Divide your dry hair into equal sections. The
finer the strand, the tighter the curl.
  ■ Hold the hair straightener level, place the
strand of hair between the heating plates
and close them.
  ■ Rotate the smoothing attachment through
180° and place the strand of hair once
around the external heated surface.
  ■ Press the plates firmly together and pull
the straightener down to the ends of the
hair at a steady pace.
  ■ Now open the plates.
N.B.: Make sure that the curl is not pulled
straight when removing the straightener.
Tip for a longer lasting hair style: Roll up
the curl when it's still hot and fix with a hair
clip until cool.
