WARNING! The area between an assistive bedside handrail and mattress creates a potential for serious, life-

• A gap between the mattress and assistive handrail provides a potential for entrapment.
• The possibility exists for a person's body, legs, arms, head or neck to become wedged between the mattress and any
of the handrail bars.
• Always keep the mattress tight against the assistive handrail, allowing no gaps at any time. Be sure to check for
correct positioning frequently, at least once a day.
