6.4 Adjusting base station sound
The 'a' and 'b' buttons
These buttons allow you to do the following:
Adjust the volume
§
o Both buttons can be used to adjust the alert volume. Press down button 'a' or
'b'. You will hear the alert sound become more (a) or less (b) loud. Release the
button at the desired volume. The volume is now set and will be saved when
you disconnect the base station from the power supply. You can adjust the
volume as you wish.
Temporary pause the sound
§
o One of the buttons (it doesn't matter which one) can be pressed if you have
heard an alert and wish to turn it off. This is temporary. A subsequent alert
will be audible again.
PLEASE NOTE: Ensure that the base station alert signal is set to an audible sound level
during the entire cycle of use.
PLEASE NOTE: Loud noises from the base station can possibly cause epileptic seizures.
Ensure that the sound signals are only loudly audible to the carer, not the wearer.
