Universal Brake Drum Puller /
GENERAL
This tool is made for easy removal of brake drums and drive shafts out of
the wheel hubs. It is suitable for wheel hubs or brake drums with 3, 4, 5
and 6 mounting holes with pitch circle diameter up to 200 mm.
TOOLS
- 5 extraction feet with oval mounting holes, chrome-plated, forged CR-V steel
- 2 pressure pieces (flat and pointed)
- Hardened spindle with sliding bar, 10 x 190 mm
- 2 discs for receiving extraction feet, chrome-plated, Ø 62 and 100 mm
WARNING
•
Lifting of vehicles only allowed on the special lifting points.
•
Before starting work under a car always ensure that it is adequately supported by axle stands or
ramps. Chock wheels and ensure that the hand brake is firmly applied.
•
Always work in a well ventilated area.
•
Always use approved eye protection, especially when working under vehicles.
•
Ensure that tools are correctly mounted.
•
Do not over tighten or use undue force as this can cause damage to both tool and component.
•
Do not use an impact wrench with this tool
•
Always use workshop manual for detailed instructions.
•
Always lubricate the screw threads before using the tool.
•
Check & replace any damaged components as required.
ASSEMBLY
Choose the needed receiving disc. (Ø 62 or 100 mm).
Insert the desired number of puller feets on the receiving disk. Push for this purpose, as shown in the
figure, the opening at the foot on the receiving disc and turn the foot.
Install the pre-assembled extractor with the original wheel bolts / nuts on the wheel hub or brake
drum.
Install spindle with pressure piece in the receiving disc.
