Assembly and Installation Instructions
Please read these instructions carefully before installing your Carlson Pet Gate.
This Carlson Pet gate is NOT to be used for Children.
This gate is to be used ONLY for Pets.
A loose or wobbly gate is not properly installed and therefore, not
ready for use.
Strangulation hazard- Pets can force themselves into very small
gate and wall.
Install the locking mechanism on the side away from the pet.
Never use at top of stairs.
Check the gate regularly to see if all the hardware and mountings
are tightened.
Stop using gate if any parts become damaged or broken.
To prevent serious injury or death, securely install the gate and
use according to manufacturer's instructions.

Installing your Expandable Gate:
Step 1:
Place your expandable gate in an opening no smaller than 26 in. and
no larger than 42in. wide.
Hint-
place the gate above the molding so that the gate is installed on a vertically
even surface.
Step 2:
With one hand on each side of the gate, pull each end of the gate
away from the center, until the gate spans the entire length of your doorway or
opening. As shown in Diagram A.

Note-
Hold the outside frame of the gate, NOT the inner round bars. As shown
in Diagram B.
