Using the zebra
pattern
You can set the digital camcorder to display a
zebra pattern (diagonal stripes) [a] in the portion
of the picture in the viewfinder where the
brightness exceeds a certain level. The portion of
the picture where the zebra pattern appears is an
area of high brightness and overexposure. You
can check the picture level of a subject by
displaying the zebra pattern.
Before you start recording, use the zebra pattern
as a guide for adjusting the aperture, gain, and
shutter speed.
(1) Open the cover, then press MENU to display
the menu in the viewfinder.
(2) Press

to select ZEBRA, then press
EXECUTE.
(3) Press
or
to select ON, then press
EXECUTE.
(4) Press MENU to erase the menu display.

Note on shooting with the zebra pattern
Even though you see the zebra pattern in the
viewfinder, the zebra pattern is not recorded.

Utilización del patrón

Usted podrá ajustar la videocámara digital para
hacer que visualice un patrón cebra (rayas
diagonales) [a] en la parte de la imagen del visor
en la que el brillo sobrepase cierto nivel. La parte
de la imagen en la que aparece el patrón cebra es
un área de gran brillo y sobreexposición. Usted
podrá comprobar el nivel de la imagen de un
motivo haciendo que se visualice el patrón cebra.
Antes de iniciar la videofilmación, utilice el
patrón cebra como guía para ajustar la apertura,
la ganancia, y la velocidad de obturación.

para hacer que se visualice el menú en el
visor.
