• Do not smoke or use any source of electrical spark or flame during
its operation to avoid fire.
• Make sure the area around the battery is well-ventilated while the
battery is being charged. To reduce the risk of battery explosion,
follow all safety instructions published by the battery manufacturer.
• Wear safety goggles during its whole operation. Batteries can
cause flying debris and emit toxic gases. Remove all personal
items made of metal, such as rings, necklaces, and watches, when
working with a lead-acid battery.
• Place fresh water and soap nearby in case battery acid touches
skin, clothing, or eyes. If acid makes contact with eyes, then
immediately wash it with running cold water for at least ten
minutes and seek medical attention as soon as possible.
• Place the battery charger as far away from the battery as possible.
Do not put the charger directly above the battery.
• Do not submerge the charger in water or get it wet.
• Keep the charger away from children. It is not a toy.
• Disconnect or connect the cables only when the charger is
powered off. Store the charger in a well-ventilated and dry place
every time you finish charging.
