Before using the riveter and to make it easier to
remove self-piercing rivets, it is possible to make an
impression on the rivet with the centre punch tool
(ref. 048379) so that the extraction die is subsequently
wedged in the impression.

CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE

The GYSPRESS 10T PP CONTROL riveter does not require any special maintenance. A simple periodic visual check is
recommended in order to prevent any breakdowns or possible failure during use.
Clean the GYSPRESS 10T PP CONTROL riveter at least once a week to remove any dust and dirt that may affect the
long-term performance of the product. Use self-cleaning cloths. Do not use water, flammable or corrosive liquids.
ANOMALIES, CAUSES, REMEDIES
The table below shows the possible issues that can be encountered when using the tool. If the problem encounte-
red is not listed in the table below, stop using the tool and contact your dealer immediately to find the procedure to
follow.

CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY

The warranty covers any manufacturing defect or general defect for two years from the date of purchase (parts and
labour). The warranty excludes incidents due to misuse, dropping, dismantling or any other damage due to transport.
The warranty does not cover the normal wearing of parts. Only spare parts from GYS should be used to carry out a
repair on the GYSPRESS 10T PUSH PULL riveter.

If during extraction the rivet remains in the die's hole,
blow to release it before performing another extraction.
Stop moving the tip of the die forward as soon as the
rivet has been removed. Bringing the tip to a complete
stop can generate stress on the tip
