• Place the pump switch in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53) .
• Place the CLOSED tabs of valves A and B in positions PORT 2 and PORT 3 respectively (pool cleaner position). Remember that the
position is indicated by the CLOSED tab (Fig. 19) (Pag. 53).
• Remove the plug of the pool cleaner suction inlet and connect the pool cleaner hose (not supplied with the equipment) to the suction inlet
(Fig. 24) (Pag. 54).
IMPORTANT: before connecting the hose, first fill it with water.
• To start the suction operation, place the timer switch in position I (Fig. 20) (Pag. 53) and place the pump switch in the ON position
(Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
• After cleaning the bottom of the swimming pool, stop the pump by placing the pump switch in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
Disconnect the pool cleaner and place the plug to cover the suction nozzle (Fig. 24) (Pag. 54).
• Place the valves once again in the filtering position. If you wish to start the automatic timed filtering operation, leave the timer switch in
position II (automatic filtering) and leave the pump switch in the ON position.
5.3. OPERATION: EMPTYING THE SWIMMING POOL
It is possible to empty almost all the swimming pool with the compact filtration unit.
To empty the swimming pool, follow these steps:
• Place the pump switch in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
• Place the CLOSED tabs of valves A and B in positions PORT 1 and PORT 3 respectively (drainage position). Remember that the position
is indicated by the CLOSED tab (Fig. 19) (Pag. 53).
• Remove the plug from the suction inlet of the pool cleaner and connect the suction hose (not supplied with the equipment) (Fig. 24)
(Pag. 54).
• Weigh down the end of the suction hose with a heavy object which will not damage the bottom of the swimming pool, in order to sink it
to the bottom..
• To start the suction operation, place the timer switch in position I (Fig. 20) (Pag. 53) and the pump switch in the ON position (Fig. 21)
(Pag. 53) .
VERY IMPORTANT
• When there are still a few centimetres of water in the swimming pool and the pump has lost its suctions, the pump should
be switched off by placing the pump switch in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53). The pump may become seriously damaged if
left to run dry.
• Once the operation has finished, disconnect the hose and place the plug to cover the suction nozzle.
• Leave the pump switch in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
5.4. OPERATION: SWIMMING POOL LIGHTING
The compact filtration unit is provided with an underwater light to light the swimming pool. To turn it on or off, simply turn on the pneumatic
switch of the light placed at the back of the filtering box (Fig. 25) (Pag. 54).
This light is designed to be totally submerged in fresh water swimming pools. It is a class III electrical apparatus with very low
safety voltage (12 V with alternate current).
The light meets protection grade IPX8 (resistant to the penetration of dust, solid bodies and moisture) with a nominal immersion depth of 2 m.
The light meets international lighting safety standards, particularly standard EN 60598-2-18: LIGHTING PART 2: PARTICULAR
REQUIREMENTS SECTION 18 LIGHTING FOR SWIMMING POOLS AND SIMILAR APPLICATIONS.
VERY IMPORTANT
Never turn on the underwater light if it is not submerged in water, otherwise the lamp may become seriously damaged.
6. MAINTENANCE
6.1. WASHING THE FILTER CARTRIDGE
The cartridge should be removed and washed as and when the flow falls off (approximately every 30 hours of operation).
To wash the cartridge, proceed as follows:
Place the pump switch in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
Using the key supplied with the equipment, turn the upper cover of the filter in an anti-clockwise direction until it is released, then remove the
cover and the filtering cartridge.
Place the cartridge under a water jet from a garden hose, until the cartridge is clean. Clean the filter from top to bottom spraying the water at
an angle of 45º (Fig. 26) (Pag. 54).
Place the filter in position and close the cover using the key.
At the start of the season or after several washing cycles, it may be necessary to change the filtering cartridge. This can be purchased from
your supplier or specialised store.
6.2. CLEANING THE SKIMMER BASKET
The skimmer basket accumulates leaves and other particles floating in the water. The basket should be cleaned from time to time so that it
does not become blocked.
To remove the basket, proceed as follows:
• Place the pump switch in the OFF position (Fig. 21) (Pag. 53).
• Open the access cover to the front module skimmer.
• Take the handle of the basket and turn it until it can be vertically removed (Fig. 27) (Pag. 54).
• Once leaves and other particles have been cleaned from the basket, it should be placed in position again. To secure it properly, turn the
basket inside its cavity until it locks and cannot be pulled out vertically.
