8. SAFETY WARNINGS
GENERAL
• The equipment described in this Manual is designed to work with clean water at temperatures lower than 35ºC.
• The Combo is designed to work with swimming pool water only and use with other types of water has not been considered.
• The equipment should be installed following the safety instructions for swimming pools.
• Contact with electrical voltage should be avoided.
• Current regulations referring to accident prevention should be followed.
• Any modification to the equipment requires prior authorisation from the manufacturer. The original spare parts and accessories authorised
by the manufacturer guarantee a higher level of safety. The manufacturer will not be held responsible for damage caused by non-
authorised spare parts or accessories.
• During operation, some parts of the equipment are at dangerous electrical voltages. Work on each element or on equipment involved must
be done after disconnecting them from the mains and after disconnecting start-up devices.
• The user must make certain that assembly and maintenance work is carried out by qualified and authorised people, who have first
carefully read the installation and service instructions.
• Operation safety of the machine is only guaranteed if installation and service instructions are followed.
• The maximum values indicated in the technical specifications should not be exceeded under any circumstances.
• In the event of faulty operation or breakdown, contact the Technical Assistance Service of the manufacturer or your nearest
representative.
• The requirements of bs7671 and IEE regulations must be met.
WARNINGS ON INSTALLATION AND ASSEMBLY WORK
• While connecting the electrical cables to the equipment, check the inside of the connection box, make sure that debrits from the cable
does not remain inside after it has been closed, and that the earth conductor is correctly connected.
• Special care should be taken that water never enters the motor or electrical parts under voltage.
• In the event that use is not the same as indicated, supplementary technical regulations and adjustments may be necessary.
• It is recommended not to drill the filtration box, as water in the ground could penetrate through any underground hole.
WARNINGS ON START-UP
• Before starting up the equipment, check the gauging of the electric protection devices of the motor and that the protections against
electrical and mechanical contact are correctly positioned and secured.
• Do not start the pump if there is no water in the swimming pool.
• Do not start the filtering operation if the water does not cover part of the hinged cover of the skimmer.
• Never turn on the underwater light if it is not submerged in water, otherwise the lamp may become seriously damaged.
WARNINGS ON MAINTENANCE WORKS
• In all cases, avoid contact, including accidental contact, with moving parts of the equipment.
• Wait until the equipment has completely stopped before handling the equipment for whatever reason.
• Before carrying out any electrical or mechanical maintenance work, ensure that the machine has been disconnected from the mains and
that the start-up devices are locked.
• Do not handle the equipment with wet feet.
WARNINGS ON USING THE COMPACT EQUIPMENT
• Never stand on the filtraton box cover nor the front module.
• Do not let either children or adults handle or sit on the equipment.
• Never use the front modules as a diving board.
