4.4 Rear panel

1. PHONO/LINE -SWITCH
Used to select the input to be sent to the individual channel.
2. MASTER OUT
Output sockets for connecting your power amplifier.
3. GND (Ground terminal)
Connect the ground lead of the turntable with this terminal. This helps to reduce humming and pop noise.
4. LINE / PHONO INPUT-SOCKETS
Input socket for CH-1 and CH-2. Connect your turntable(s) with the PHONO input-sockets. CD-players or
Tape Decks should be connected with the LINE input-sockets. Line level musical instruments with stereo
outputs such as Rhythm Machines or Samplers should also be connected with the LINE input-sockets.
5. DIGITAL OUT-SOCKET
The music-signal of this socket is digital. Connect the output to the respective input of a digital amplifier for
example.
6. POWER SWITCH
Press this button to start operation.
7. VOLTAGE SELECTOR
Make sure that the indication corresponds to the available voltage.

5. INSTALLATION

Install the DSS-2 on a plane surface.
Make sure that the inclination angle will not exceed 15°, as the CD cannot be read correctly otherwise.
Please note that the LCD-display can only be read from an angle of 45° to the top and of 5° to the bottom.
CAUTION: Make sure that the DSS-2 is switched off (power-switch in outer position) before you connect it to
the mains in order to avoid damages on your loudspeakers.
Connect the DSS-2 with the RCA-cable to your mixer via the Audio Out-sockets. Make sure that the right/left
occupation (plug-colour red/white) is the same at both devices.
Make sure that the indication on the Voltage-selector corresponds to the available voltage in order to avoid
severe damages. Only plug the power-plug into safety-sockets.
Connect your DSS-2 with the mains.

5.1 Connections

Make sure that the power switch is set to "OFF". Before you connect the devices, all units have to be
switched off and the faders are set to "0".
