6.0 Installation of vent
system
For further information (vent system Ø 100/150 mm): see manual
for Balanced flue system.
Before mounting carefully read the section about the vent system.
Pay special attention to fig. 2 and the text in the manual for the
conversion kit, section: Adjusting the air regulator.
•
Set up the product in a «dry run» with the vent system loosely
connected.
•
Mark off on the wall where the vent pipe is to be.
If the wall is made of brick, the pipe can be fed directly through the
wall. If the wall is made of wood, a wall shield must be used.
6.1 Installation of wall shield (See fig. 3)
•
When installing a wall shield (fig. 3 G), make a square opening
in the wall. The opening may be strengthened with a wooden
frame, if the wall requires reinforcement.
•
Fill the hollow area between vent pipe and wall/ceiling with
insulation or similar material.
•
Pull apart the 2 halves (G) of the wall shield.
Attach one half with 4 screws (F) on the inside of the wall and

the second half with 4 screws on the outside of the wall (H).
•
If you wish to hide the wall shield on the inside wall, use
the cover plate (optional equipment) (E) and fasten with 4
screws.
•
In the case of long pipes, it is recommended that the pipes be
attached to the walls using brackets (optional equipment).
6.2 Vent system (Ø 100/170 mm) for

Installation
1. Check that the gasket around the flue outlet is intact. This is
attached using 4 x Ø4.2mm screws.
2. Undo the screws and attach the adapter (A) using the same
4 screws, so that the pipe remains horizontal. Use a heat
resistant sealing agent to seal all joints.
3. The pipe length on the exhaust hood (M-N) should be
adjusted so that the stove is at least 50mm from the wall (fig.
1D). Note that the innermost pipe should be 10mm longer and
the back of the hood should rest against the outer wall.
4. Screw the four screws (I) that attach the back piece (J) to the
exhaust hood. Feed the outer pipe (N) in through the wall
from the outside, and fit the back piece on a smooth outer
wall using 4 screws from the bag (K) .
5. Make sure that the horizontal section of the flue pipe has a
minimum incline of 2%.

6. The exhaust hood (L) with the inner pipe (M) is fed in through
the wall from the outside. The hood is screwed (I) to the back
piece and the pipe is connected to the stove adapter on the
back of the stove.
7. If the position is less than 3m above ground level (measured
on the outside of the house), the exhaust hood must be fitted
with the hood protection (O) on the outside of the house
using 4 enclosed screws (P).

Installation
1. Check that the gasket around the flue outlet is intact. This is
attached using 4 x Ø4.2 mm screws.
2. Undo the screws and attach the adapter (A) using the same 4
screws, so that the pipe remains vertical. Use a heat resistant
sealing agent to seal all joints.
3. A 500mm pipe (B) may be used first or a 90° bend (C) and
then pipe out. Pipe joints are fixed with three coach bolts (Ø
4.2 mm).
4. Remove the 4 screws (I) that are holding the back piece (J) in
place on the exhaust hood. The pipe length on the exhaust
hood (M-N) should be adjusted so that the stove is at least
50mm from the wall (fig. 1D). Note that the innermost pipe
should be 10mm longer and the back of the hood should rest
against the outer wall . Feed the outer pipe (N) in through the
wall from the outside, and fit the back piece (J) on a smooth
outer wall using 4 screws from the bag (K).

the wall from the outside. The hood is screwed to the back
piece and the pipe is connected to the pipe bend on the back
of the stove.

must be fitted with the hood protection (O) on the outside
of the house using 4 enclosed screws (P).
6.4 Adjusting the air regulator
If the exhaust hood is closed in area A (see fig. 2) the air regulator
must be adjusted. Follow the conversion kit manual: Adjusting
the air regulator.
