ADDITIONAL RIDING MOWER WARNINGS
AND SAFETY RULES WHEN FRONT MOUNT BLADE/
 Stay alert — Watch what you are doing and use common
sense when operating the riding mower with front mount
blade/snow plow attachment. Do not operate the mower
while tired, upset, or under the influence of drugs, alcohol,
or medication. A moment of inattention while operating the
mower may result in death or serious personal injury.
 Never carry children or allow children to sit on or operate
riding mower with front mount blade/snow plow attachment
and do not allow adults to operate without proper instruc-
tions. Keep all bystanders, children, and pets at least 100
ft. away. Stop the mower and turn off the machine if anyone
enters the area.
 Inspect the area to be plowed carefully before using the front
mount blade/snow plow attachment. Avoid holes, pipes,
roots, curbs, drop offs, or other obstructions. Obstructions
can become caught on the front mount blade/snow plow
attachment and result in loss of control or stability and pos-
sible rollover of the riding mower.
 Check carefully for live electrical wires or cords that can
come in contact with and/or be damaged by the blade and
never use the front mount blade/snow plow attachment in
these areas or first have the wires or cords safely removed.
Contact with or damage of live electri cal wires or cords can
result in death by electrocution or other serious personal
injury.
 Know the terrain to be plowed. Never use on slopes greater
than 7.5 degrees. Caution should be taken when using the
front mount blade/snow plow attachment. This attachment
combined with the weight distribution, turning radius, and
speed of the riding mower can cause loss of control and
can result in severe injury or death to operator, damage to
riding mower, and/or attachment if not used properly.
 Avoid steep slopes or drop offs that may be hidden by
the snow or dirt. If you are not familiar with the area to be
plowed, use a ruler, broom handle, stick, or other device to
determine the depth of the snow and to find hidden drop
offs and hazards. Never plow deep snow that is greater that
the height of the front tires.
 Never run the front mount blade/snow plow attachment into
heavy snow at high speed.
 Always begin operating the riding mower slowly when using
the front mount blade/snow plow attachment and gradually
increase speed as required. Only operate at a safe speed
that allows you to maintain control of the riding mower when
using the front mount blade/snow plow attachment.
 When working in a large area, do not attempt to move the
snow or dirt all in the same direction that can cause an
excessive buildup. These excessive buildups of snow or
dirt can become larger with each pass and cause the riding
mower to lose control or become stuck.
SNOW PLOW ATTACHMENT IS USED
 Do not start or stop suddenly when going uphill or downhill.
Avoid uphill starts, slow down and use extra care on hillsides.
Do not use front mount blade/snow plow attachment on
slopes greater than 7.5 degrees. Use the front mount blade/
snow plow attachment going up and down slopes only, never
across. Ground conditions can affect vehicle stability and
control.
 Use extreme caution and stay clear of drop offs. Do not drive
close to creeks, ditches and public highways. Watch out for
traffic when crossing near roadways.
 Always stop the riding mower, place the direction control
switch in neutral, and raise the front mount blade/snow plow
attachment prior to traveling or maneuvering the mower in
situations when snow is not being plowed. Drive slowly over
rough ground and on slopes.
 Always lower front mount blade/snow plow attachment to
ground, place the direction control switch in neutral, remove
the key, and set parking brake before leaving riding mower.
 Do not charge riding mower in snow, rain, or in wet locations.
Completely dry the riding mower when plowing operations
are complete.
 Never shift the direction control switch to neutral and coast
downhill, which can cause loss of control.
 Be careful when handling the front mount blade/snow plow
attachment and keep feet and hands clear of the edges.
Edges are sharp and can cause injury.
 Never engage riding mower blades when using in snow, dirt,
or with front mount blade/snow plow attachment installed.
The blades are not intended to be operated in snow, dirt, and
hidden objects may become thrown out of the side discharge
chute, resulting in possible serious personal injury.
 Never perform any work on a front mount blade/snow plow
unless you are qualified to do so. Always read the operator's
manual provided by the attachment manufacturer before any
repair is made. After completing maintenance or repair, check
for correct functioning of the front mount blade/snow plow. If
not functioning properly, take front mount blade/snow plow
attachment to a qualified service center recommended by
the attachment manufacturer for repairs and do not operate
until all problems are corrected.
 Do not service or otherwise handle the front mount blade/
snow plow in the raised position unless it is securely blocked
or held up by a block of wood, concrete block, etc. to prevent
accidental or unexpected falling.
