7. Maintenance and cleaning

7.1 Maintenance
This flow switch is maintenance-free.
Repairs must only be carried out by the manufacturer.
7.2 Cleaning
CAUTION!
Unsuitable cleaning agents
Cleaning with unsuitable cleaning agents may damage the instrument and the product label.
Suitable cleaning agents
Water
Conventional dishwashing detergent
Cleaning the instrument
1. Disconnect the flow switch from the mains.
2. Wipe the instrument surface using a soft, damp cloth.

Possible cause
Sensor drift caused by chemical attack
Wrong mounting geometry, for example
mounting depth too deep or heat dissipation
too high
Deposit on the probe
Power supply too high/low
Moisture has entered
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents.
Do not use any hard or pointed objects.
Do not use any abrasive cloths or sponges.
Measure
Check media compatibility
Move the temperature-sensitive area of the
probe into the medium
Remove deposit
Rectify the power supply
Fit the cable correctly
