1. Designated Use
The Marten Shock Plus is designed for keeping away martens from the car and engine
compartment. The device emits varying ultrasonic frequencies by using a piezoelectric
loudspeaker. Additionally, it is equipped with 4 x 2 special high voltage plates which are
charged by a capacitor up to 400 +/– 50 Volt. If an intruding animal touches the mod-
ules it will receive a painful but not fatal electric shock. When the high voltage is trig-
gered, the LED will additionally scare off the intruder. Any other use as the mentioned
is not permitted! No liabilities will be taken for damages or claims resulting out of not
reading and/or not following the user guide and/or any form of modification on or in the
product. Under these circumstances, no warranty services will be granted. Liability will
not be taken for consequential damages.
2. Important Notices
• The device does not hinder the animals from being in the area. It makes them feel
uncomfortable and the animals will move to other areas, which appear more pleas-
ant and quieter. The change of frequencies prevents the animals from getting adapt-
ed to the noise. It may take a few days or weeks until the effect fully takes place.
• The device emits an acoustic signal with a frequency of 12 – 24 kHz at intervals of
22 seconds on and off.
