Take delivery of the braking unit
v Check that the catalog number printed on the label is the same
as that on the purchase order.
v Remove the braking unit from its packaging and check that it has
not been damaged in transit.

Check the line voltage
v Check that the line voltage is compatible with the
voltage range of the braking unit (see page 28).

Install the braking unit
v Install the braking unit before mounting the DC
choke chassis on the drive, taking care to follow
the installation instructions described in this
document.

Wire the braking unit
v Connect power terminals BU- and BU+ on
the braking unit to the drive.
v Connect the control cables.
Set the braking parameters on the drive
v Set the parameter to inhibit automatic
adaptation of the deceleration ramp

v Set the parameters necessary for
protecting the braking resistor:
[DB RES. PROTECTION]
