Dear Customer,
Congratulations on your choice of a factory-assembled model air-
craft from the robbe Modellsport range. Many thanks for placing
your trust in us.
The model can very quickly be completed ready to fly. Please read
right through these instructions and the separate information
sheets before attempting to assemble and fly the model, as this will
make it much easier to complete the tasks required.
The aeroplane is available in two different colour schemes. The
decals are already applied. There are no technical differences
between the models.
These instructions apply to both versions. The illustrations show
the "Blue Angel" version, No. 2531.
All directions, such as "right-hand", are as seen from the tail of
the model, looking forward.
Notes on the power system
A brushless outrunner motor and impeller (ducted fan) are already
installed in the fuselage.
The motor is connected to the speed controller, ready for use, and
the controller is already correctly set up.
To complete the power system all you have to do is connect the
flight battery.
Notes on the radio control system
For this model you require a radio control system with at least four
channels. We particularly recommend .4 GHz systems.
The aileron and elevator servos are already installed; the aileron
servos are connected using a Y-lead (also supplied).
The receiving system is powered by the speed controller's integral
BEC system.
When the model is completed, the speed controller is located under
the black hatch cover on the underside of the fuselage.
Before you check the model's working systems, please set the con-
trol surfaces to neutral from the transmitter (transmitter sticks and
trims central).

Assembly and operating instructions
A-4 Skyhawk Blue Angel
Before flying the model always move the throttle stick to the "motor
stopped" position before switching the transmitter on, and only
then connect the flight battery.
To switch off, first disconnect the flight pack from the speed con-
troller, and only then switch the transmitter off.
When installing or setting up the receiving system components,
including the speed controller, be sure to read and observe the
instructions supplied with them.
Read right through the safety notes for the LiPo battery (page 4),
and the instructions supplied with the battery charger, before
using these items for the first time.
Joining the components, recommended adhesives
All parts must be trial-fitted "dry" (without glue) before joining them
permanently.

No. 5069
Activator spray
No. 500
Uhu por (for the plastic hatch cover)
Do not use "standard" cyano-acrylate glues, as they will attack and
destroy the foam components.
Please take great care to avoid excess adhesive running onto the
painted surfaces, as this will damage the finish.

- Offer up the wing panels to the fuselage and check that they fit
neatly in the transition area, without gaps.
- Glue one wing panel to the fuselage, taking care to position it
correctly, flush with the fuselage front and rear.
- The wing should only be glued to the moulded-in wing saddle,
otherwise it will not be possible to access the fan unit if repairs
are ever necessary.

- Allow the adhesive to set hard before gluing the second wing
panel in place.
- Check that it is correctly positioned.
- Connect the aileron servos to the Y-lead (supplied loose in the
kit).

- Note: the hatch has to be cut into two parts, and an access hole
drilled, to ensure that the impeller unit can be removed for pos-
sible repairs.
- Mark the position of the cut-line, aligned with the joint between
the fuselage and the wings.
- Mark the position of the hole over the retaining screw (X).

- Cut the hatch cover in two at the marked line using a sharp knife
or fine saw.
- Drill a 6 mm Ø hole at the marked point, and file it to a neat fin-
ish.
