ATTENTION
Prior to commissioning the complete piping system has to be flushed in order to protect the pump/pump
station from solid particles.
In case that this flushing is to be realized by means of operating the screw pump itself it is indispensable to
install an additional commissioning filter upstream of the pump/pump station. The standard strainer pro-
vided by KRAL is not suitable to separate coarse solid particles, nor fine abrasive particles.
Recommended mesh width of the additional commissioning filter:
Pump size up to 275
from 370
Recommended period of flushing with commissioning filter: 50 to 100hours
The suction capacity must not be impaired by the additional pressure loss of the commissioning filter.
Calculate the remaining suction capacity by determining the pressure loss in the commissioning filter.
Check and clean the commissioning filter at regular intervals.
