WARNING: Never modify any parts of the power tool.
Damage or personal injury could result.
ASSEMBLING THE POLISHING MOP
Press the polishing mop to attach it to the back-up pad.
CAUTION: Accessories must be rated for at least the
speed recommended on the tool warning label. Accessories
running over rated speed can fly apart and cause injury.
Accessory ratings must always be above tool speed as
shown on tool nameplate.
BEFORE STARTING THE POLISHER
Ensure that:
• the power supply conforms with the characteristics of the tool
(see tab "Minimum Gauge for Cord Sets");
• the power supply cable and plug are in perfect condition;
• the ON/OFF switch works properly though with the power
supply disconnected;
• all the parts of the tool have been assembled in the proper
manner and that there are no signs of damage;
• the ventilation slots are not obstructed.
FAILURE TO START
Should your tool fail to start, check to make sure the prongs on
the cord plug are making good contact in the outlet. Also, check
for blown fuses or open circuit breakers in the line.
REPLACING THE POLISHING MOP
Pull the used polishing mop off and apply the new one, pressing
it onto the disc pad.
ALLOWED ACCESSORIES
LK900E: polishing foam Ø 180 mm for backing pad Ø 150 mm.
Polishing foam Ø 150 mm for backing pad Ø 125 mm optional.

MAINTENANCE
Maintenance and cleaning of the inner parts, like brushes, ball
bearings, gears etc. or others, must be carried out only by an
authorized customer service workshop.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury, turn unit off and
disconnect it from power source before installing and
removing accessories, before adjusting or when
making repairs. Be sure the switch is in the "OFF"
position. An accidental start-up can cause injury.
CLEANING
WARNING: Blow dirt and dust out of all air vents with clean,
dry air at least once a week. To minimize the risk of eye
injury, always wear ANSI Z87.1 approved eye protection
when performing this.
WARNING: Never use solvents or other harsh chemicals for
cleaning the non-metallic parts of the tool. These chemicals
may weaken the plastic materials used in these parts. Use a
cloth dampened only with water and mild soap. Never let
any liquid get inside the tool; never immerse any part of the
tool into a liquid.
ASSEMBLY OF ACCESSORIES
PLATE BASE (Fig. a, Fig. b)
- Align the 6 holes of the gasket (9) to the plate base (8)
- Place the plate base (8) by aligning the 6 holes with the
aluminium support

- Fix the plate base (8) using the screws (12) taking care to place
the fixing washers (11) (10) correctly.
ATTENTION: do not tighten the screws of the plate base if
the latter is in not properly placed
POLISHING FOAM
Apply pressure on polishing pad to join pad to plate (8)
DISASSEMBLY OF ACCESSORIES
PLATE BASE
- Loosen the screws (12) and remove the plate base (8)
POLISHING FOAM
- Remove the polishing foam used and apply the new one with
pressing on the backing pad (8).
LUBRICATION
This tool has been lubricated with a sufficient amount of high
grade lubricant for the life of the unit under normal operating
conditions. No further lubrication is necessary.
WARRANTY
Complying with current applicable regulations and subject
to more favorable conditions that could apply in different
countries, RUPES professional tools are supplied with a 12
months warranty against manufacturing defects from date of
purchase. Only Rupes original parts and accessories must be
employed with RUPES tools. Rupes is not responsible for any
damages or accidents caused by not abiding to this rule and
the warranty shall terminate if non-original parts are employed.
Damages caused by natural wear and tear, overloading, faulty
maintenance and tool usage differing from the one specified in
the user guide, are not covered by this warranty. A tool which
has been proven faulty must be delivered to an authorized
Rupes service center along with its fully filled out warranty
certification and document of purchase. Warranty shall be
void if tool should be delivered disassembled or tampered.
This warranty does not in any way imply tool's replacement.
RUPES SpA reserves the right to make specifications or design
changes to its products without further notice. RUPES does not
accept any responsibility for any possible printing mistake. This
document supersedes all previously printed one.
