1.1
PE-Inner Container
(1) The containers must be manufactured in the same
manufacturing facilities as those in which the containers tested for
the proof of suitability were produced.
(2) The container surface may not be chemically treated if
this treatment is not a component of the General Construction
Inspection Approval.
(3) If changes are made to the blowing facility (such as on the
extruder, blowing head, or blowing mould) the certification agency
is to be informed; it will then make a decision about how to
proceed (involvement of the DIBt, special tests).
1.2
Steel plate capture container (galvanized)
(1) Fabrication must be in accordance with the manufacturer's
description.
(2) Any change in manufacturing technology, material. or sealant
requires DIBt approval and, if necessary, a change to this General
Construction Inspection Approval.

2.1
Packaging
Packaging the containers for the purpose of transport or
(temporary-) storage is not necessary if the requirements of Sec.
2.2 are met. The openings of all connection unions must be closed
by screwing on their caps.
2.2
Transport, storage
2.2.1 General
Transport must be carried out by only those companies with
specialist experience, suitable machinery, equipment, and means
of transport, and sufficiently trained personnel. To avoid hazards
for employees and third parties, the applicable accident prevention
directives must be observed.
2.2.2 Transport prepreparation
The containers must be prepared for transport so that no damage
occurs during loading, transporting and unloading. The loading
surface of the transport vehicle must be constructed so that it is
not possible to damage the containers due to impacts from pointed
objects- or because of compressive stresses.
2.2.3 Loading- and unloading
When lifting, moving, and setting down the containers, impacts
must be avoided. If a fork lift truck is used, the containers must
be secured during movement with the fork lift. Connection pieces
and protruding parts of the containers may not be used as lifting
points for the containers. The containers may not be dragged
across the floor.
2.2.4 Carriage
The containers must be secured against unacceptable shifting
during carriage.
The type of fastening used may not damage the containers.
2.2.5 Storage
When temporarily placed outside, the containers should be
protected against damage and storms. Containers must not
be exposed to weathering for more than six months. It must be
ensured that no precipitation water can collect between the inner
container and the containment container.
2.2.6 Damage
When damage occurs due to transport or during temporary
storage, the course of action should be based on the findings of
an expert
on water legislation or the certification agency.

1
General
(1) The container installation must adhere to Secs. 3 and 4 of the
„Particular Regulations" of this General Construction Inspection
Approval.
(2) The containers are to be installed so they are protected from
UV-radiation.
(3) In tidal areas- or areas prone to flooding, the containers must
be placed so that they cannot be reached by the flood water,
2
Storage
The containers must be placed completely on a flat, hard
(unbending) smooth support slab or a carefully compacted and
hardened support surface.
3
Separation distances
(1) The containers must be maintained at such a distance from walls
and other such structures as well as from each other so as to enable
visual leak and condition checking at all times. The containers
must be placed so that the risk of explosion is satisfactorily small and
sufficient fire-extinguishing means are available.
(2) The following clearances are generally required for containers
used to store EL grade heating oil according to DIN 51603-1 and
diesel fuel according to DIN EN 590:
- The containers or container systems must, when installed in
a row, have at least one long side with a clearance of at least
40 cm enabling access. The distance to the other walls and
container walls must be at least 5 cm.
- With end-to-end installation of two containers, they must have
at least one side along the entire length of which there is 40 cm
clearance for access. The separation between the ends must be
at least 8 cm, the remaining distances must be at least 5 cm.
4
Assembly
(1) The containers must be installed in an upright position. The
installation instructions delivered with the containers (see Sec.
5.1.4 of the „Particular Regulations") must be observed.
(2) When installing container systems (for heating oil EL
conforming to DIN 51603-1 and diesel fuel conforming to DIN EN
590), the following requirements are to be adhered to:
1) The containers are to be installed in - a row with at most five
containers or with 2 end-to-end connected containers.
2) The containers are to be fixed using spacers (s. annex 1.9)
relative to each other.
3) The container system is to be equipped with the filling system
described in section 1 (4) and 4 (3) / (4) of the Particular
Regulations as well the non-communicating discharge system of
type „080/325" as made by GOK.
4) The container system is to be equipped with a limit detector approved
for these containers. To fit the limit detector using the filling system
named under item 3), the reference dimensions for the installation
depths according to the following tables are to be adhered to.
5) The limit detector - when observed in the flow direction of the
filling volume flow - is to be inserted in the first container of the
container system at the appropriate specified insertion depth for
the approved limit detector.
6) The oil discharge line is essentially to be configured as a single
leg system. If for technical reasons, the oil discharge line must
be configured as a two-legged system, the return line of the
discharge system - when observed in the flow direction of the
filling flow -must end in the first container, in which the limit
detector is also installed..
7) The discharge quantity of the discharge system may not exceed
17 kg/h (20 l/h).
