Changing the Battery
The handpiece battery is rechargeable over 500 times depending on the user's
operational methods and the handpiece conditions. If the handpiece operational
time or RPM has been considerably reduced, the battery should be considered bad
and replaced. Contact your dealer for a battery replacement. Observe the following
precaution when replacing the battery.
•
Only open the battery cover.
•
Ensure that only the designated battery (AAA nickel metal hydrogen rechargeable
battery, 1.2 V, standard) is used. Specifications vary depending on the
manufacturer. Using the incorrect batteries may result in equipment damage.
•
Do not use non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline or manganese). This may result
in an explosion and gas emission during charging.
•
If the liquid leaks or direct contact with the eyes occurs immediately rinse
thoroughly with water and seek medical attention.
•
Replace only with the correctly designated batteries and replace both batteries
at once. Shortened battery file may result if both batteries are not replaced at the
same time.
•
Do not replace batteries with wet hands to avoid contamination to the battery
terminals.
•
Dispose of used batteries in accordance with the local ordinances.
