Tighten the
vehicle seat belt.
Press down firmly in the
center of the car seat. To
tighten, pull on the loose end
of the vehicle lap/shoulder
belt.
4. Test for tightness.
Grab the side of the seat
where the vehicle seat belt is
and slide the car seat side-
to-side and front-to-back. If
the seat moves less than 1 in.
(2.5 cm), it is tight enough. Do
not test by grasping the top or
back of the seat.
