safe way and understands the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
- Dispose of the packaging material so that it is not accessible to children. There is a dan-
ger of suffocation, e.g. by swallowing!
- Always check the fan for damage, especially if the fan has fallen down unintentionally
or has been subjected to strong mechanical stress. DO NOT operate the unit with a
damaged impeller or protective grille!
- Check the power cord and mains plug for damage at regular intervals, but always
before use. If damage is visible, do not use the unit again. In this case, the power cord
must be checked and, if necessary, replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service
or a similarly qualified electrician in order to avoid any hazards.
- If the fan shows visible damage, the mains cable is damaged, unusual noises or strong
vibrations occur during operation or the performance/function is noticeably reduced,
the unit must be disconnected from the mains and taken out of operation.
INTENDED USE
The fan serves to circulate the room air within the scope of the technical data and ob-
servance of the safety instructions. It should only be used indoors. In accordance with
the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC Part 1, it is also suitable for commercial use.
IMPROPER USE
The fan is not suitable for outdoor use. Structural alterations or additions and conversi-
ons are prohibited. It must not be used in machines, unprotected outdoors, in garages,
in rooms subject to fire and explosion hazards, in dust-laden or damp rooms or in rooms
with an aggressive atmosphere.
RESIDUAL HAZARDS
There is a risk of injury due to dust or objects whirled up in the air flow of the fan!
BEHAVIOUR IN AN EMERGENCY
1. Disconnect the fan from the mains. Switch off the fan:
Unplug the mains cable from the socket by grasping it by the mains plug.
2. Do not reconnect a defective unit to the mains.
3. Secure the device against unintentional use by third parties.
