BMW M rear wing Class II with 3rd brake light
Supplementary parts for BMW M front spoiler

Technical knowledge is required.
Installation time, for rear wing only,
approx. 2.5 hours.
Mounting of the rear wing should be carried out
by two people.
BMW accepts no liability for damage which occurs
as a result of not following the work sequence and
safety instructions. In addition, any warranty claim
against BMW AG is extinguished in the event of
improper fitting and handling which diverges from
the fitting and operating instructions.
Important safety information
Addition of the rear wing reduces the maximum
payload of the vehicle by approx. 6.0 kg.
For reasons of driving dynamics, fitting of the Class
II rear wing is only permissible in association with
the Class II front apron.
It is to be recommended, however, that the entire
aerodynamic package (front and rear aprons, sill
trims and rear wing) is fitted.
Having done the painting, it is essential that
the identification plate showing official approval is
stuck in the embossed part of the rear wing.
Observe instructions for using adhesive.
When fitting the rear wing, the vehicle's own "3rd
brake light" is to be disconnected.

Painting note
The rear wing is already primed and must be pre-
treated accordingly to take the top coat.
To avoid damage during transportation, the rear
wing is supplied preassembled.
To paint: separate rear wing upper part from lower
part and cover the drill holes.
Procedure: see BMW painting instructions.
BMW acrylic paint + 30% Softface addition.
Maximum temperature for baking finish = 40° C.
Drilling note
Deburr edges of holes and coat with anti-corrosion
paint. Remove all traces of drilling chips.
Coat twist drill with grease before drilling to avoid
drilling chips falling into existing cavities in the
body.
Instructions for use of adhesive
To ensure lasting adhesion, keep the adhesion
sites dust and grease-free before doing the
adhesion by using cleaning benzene and a clean
cloth. The parts to be stuck together must be
worked on at a sufficiently warm temperature (room
temperature).
The parts listed in the following table are not
included in the installation kit "M Rear wing Class II
with 3rd brake light". These parts must be ordered
separately.
