Installation
3.1
Preparatory work and installation situation
„ Before starting the installation, check that all the required products are complete and
functional.
„ Correctly mount/deburr profile cutouts / hardware drill holes / cable bushings in accordance
with Chapter 3.4, page 44 or the relevant enclosed manual.
„ Thoroughly remove swarf.
Damage to the electronics possible caused by a short circuit.
ATTENTION
Make sure the lock recess is free of swarf and clean!
„ Retract the connecting cable on the secured side of the door. Take care not to kink or bend the
cable in the process. Provide for a sufficiently large cable loop (~50 mm).
„ Protect the connecting cable against abrasion.
(Recommendation: use protective hose B 5490 0308)
„ Provide a cable disconnection point in the area of the cable link to make it easier
to remove the door.
Max. cable length from the lock to the control unit/junction box is 10 m (length of pre-assembled
cable). In addition, larger cable cross-sections may be required to prevent voltage drops on the
connecting cable (see below figure).
