Maintenance
Cleaning the shell
The shell may be cleaned with warm water and a gentle soap.
Washing the cover
• The cover must be washed by hand at a maximum temperature of 30° (see washing instructions on the back of
the cover). Do not use a tumble dryer.
• Removing the rim. Gently pull the sides of the rim outwards, releasing the snappers one by one towards the top
of the seat.
• Removing the cover for washing. Unhook the cover by releasing the tabs under the edge of the seat (fig. K).
Remove the thicker section of the cover, located next to the carrying handle. Thread the shoulder straps and the
buckle carefully through the slots in the cover.
• The cover can be refitted by using the above instructions in the reverse order. When replacing the plastic rim (fig.
L), the Maxi-Cosi Citi must first be placed upside down. Mount the rim and secure the central snapper at the top
of the seat and then one by one secure the remaining snappers. Check that the rim fits parallel all round the
shell. It is then fitted correctly. It is advisable to buy an extra cover when purchasing the Maxi-Cosi Citi, enabling
the seat to be used at all times (also when the cover is being washed).
Note! NEVER remove the energy absorbing foam.
Attaching the sun canopy to the Maxi-Cosi Citi
M
• When using the sun canopy in the car, always place the carrying handle of the Maxi-Cosi Citi in the carrying
position (fig. M-1).
• Fasten the sun canopy around the handle with the Velcro (fig. M-1), ensure that the handle is unobstructed.
• Ensure that the sun canopy is always fitted with the rib facing outwards, so your child cannot hurt itself (fig. M-
2).
• Pull the back of the sun canopy over the edge at the rear of the seat (fig. M-3).
