TROUBLESHOOTING
Use the inspections in the table below if the tool does not operate normally. If this does not remedy the problem, consult your
dealer or the HiKOKI Authorized Service Center.
Symptom
Tool doesn't run
Tool suddenly stopped
Saw blade
- can't be attached
- fall off
Switch can't be pulled
An abnormal high-pitched
noise occurs when the
trigger switch is pulled.
Blade wears out too
quickly.
Unable to properly cut.
Battery cannot be installed
Possible cause
No remaining battery power
Battery isn't fully installed.
Tool was overburdened
Battery or tool overheated
The trigger switch was held down for
5 minutes or more.
The shape of the attachment portion doesn't
match
The blade's attachment hole is worn
Lock-off button is pushed in
The trigger switch is being pulled only
slightly.
Proper machine oil not used when cutting
metallic materials
Too much applied pressure during operation During operation, lighten the applied
Blade is inappropriate for the quality and
thickness of the material to be cut
Blade is too short for the length of the
material to be cut
Blade is worn, degraded or damaged
Attempting to install a battery other than that
specifi ed for the tool.
Charge the battery.
Push the battery in until you hear a click.
Get rid of the problem causing the
overburden.
During operation, lighten the applied
pressure.
Allow the tool and battery to thoroughly cool.
This is not a malfunction.
The motor was automatically stopped to
prevent failure of the tool.
Use the appropriate blade
Replace with a new blade.
Release the Lock-off button.
This is not a malfunction.
It does not occur if the trigger switch is
pulled more fully.
Use machine oil (turbine oil, etc.)
pressure.
Use the proper blade
Replace with a new blade.
Please install batteries that are multi volt or
BSL18xx series.
