EXTERNAL DATA MEDIA MODE
Inserting/connecting a music
storage medium
Inserting a disc
1 Open the CD compartment by pressing »
PUSH«.
2 Insert a disc in the compartment with its label
facing upwards.
3 Close the CD compartment by pressing »
PUSH«.
Connecting a MP3 player or an USB
memory stick

Switch off the device by pressing »
2 Plug the USB cable of the MP3 player into
the USB interface »
or
plug the USB memory stick into the USB
interface » «.
Inserting a memory card
1 Switch off the device by pressing »

Insert the card carefully into the »SD« card
slot with contacts first and facing below, until
it latches into place.
Switching on and off
1 Switch on or off the device with »
Selecting the input source

Select the desired input source ("CD", "SD"
or "USB") with »CD/SD/USB«.
– The device scans the content of the music-/
data medium.
– Display: The total number of tracks (music-
CD) or the total number of albums and files
(MP3/WMA medium).
– If the music/storage medium is not recog-
nised, an error message is displayed.

Playback
When playing music CDs, you can select tracks,
when playing MP3/WMA media, you can also
select folders.
1 II« to start playback.
Press » e
– Playback begins with the first track.
– Playback stops at the end of the last track
from the music-/data medium.
Pausing and resuming playback
1 Press » e II« to pause playback.
– Display: »II«, the playing time display
flashes.
2 II« to resume playback.
Press » e
Stopping playback (resume)
1 »■ FM MODE« once to stop playback.
Press
– If you resume playback, it continues from
the point at which it stopped.
End playback
1 Press »■ FM MODE« twice during playback.
– When playback starts, it begins from the
first track.

Additional functions

Repeating the current track

Press » « briefly during playback.

– The track is repeated from the beginning.
Selecting another track
1 During playback, keep »
pressed until the number of the track you want
to listen to appears in the display.

When using a MP3/WMA medium select the
desired folder with »p« or »o«.
– Playback of the selected track starts auto-
matically.

You can also select tracks in the stop posi-

tion. However, you must then start playback
