Control Functions
The LEARN function is used to supplement
the preprogrammed codes. The standard
code may provide most of functions needed,
but you may miss some key functions. Or you
didn´t find any functioning preprogrammed
code for a device, e.g. audio devices, air
conditioners etc.. You can capture upto 226
key function codes. The last captured
function will overwrite the previous. learnt.
1 For learning of key codes you must use
a functioning orginal
Please use fresh batteries for both remote
controls.
2 Please point the original´s remote
control transmitter LED towards the receiver
LED of UR 5000 (placed on top, same as
transmitter LED). Distance of LEDs between
both remotes shall be approximately 50-
80mm and must be in straight line of sight.
3 To prepare
functions, press the required appliance
button, e.g. DVD, icon will change to blue
colour.
4 Press and hold down P+ and
VOL- simultanously for 3 seconds until the
indicator led (2) lights up.
5 Key-in learn code 0000 and the learn
icon will light up.
6 Press and release the target key, that
you want to learn to (reprogram) (e.g.
POWER), the UR 5000 will peep.
7 .
You can access "free" keys, if you press Shift
key (9) first. Upto 3 pages, accessable by
Page key (10), are available for any device
for copying original keys. Press and hold the
source key on the original remote control
(e.g. POWER) until the LED
5000 remote control blinks once and the
device icon, e.g. DVD will flash again. That
indicates that a new function code, e.g.
POWER, has been learnt.
8 Repeat steps 6 to 7
more key functions.
