Important safety warnings
Read carefully the user manual before connecting the appliance to the mains. This manual
must be kept for all the life of the decoder for future consultations. The appliance is not a toy,
prevent children from playing on it.
Before any connection verify the integrity of the product ad overall of the supply cable; in case
of damage DON'T supply it and contact an authorized repairer. The supply cord can be
replaced only by the manufacturer or by an authorized repairer or by a specialized technician;
this to avoid any danger.
The connection to the mains must be done after all the other connections.Before inserting the
plug in the socket check that the voltage of the mains is compatible to the data reported on
the rating label on the appliance.
Don't pull the cable to disconnect the plug. Place the decoder in such way that the cable can
be accidentally stepped on, torn or otherwise damaged.
To disconnect the appliance from the supply, unplug the plug; the high voltage is present even
when the appliance is in standby mode.
Place the cable in such way that it cannot be mashed and to avoid that persons can stumble
on it.
Do not force the entry of the connections, damage may occur and consequently dangers for
the user.
It is recommended to disconnect the receiver in case of prolonged non-use and
thunderstorms.
Disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning. Use a dry cloth. Do not use liquid
cleaners, aerosols or cleaning products.
Place the device on a stable surface. The opening on the enclosure must be let uncovered to
permit a free airflow inside the appliance. Be sure to have enough distance around the device
to allow adequate ventilation. Make sure that ventilation is not obstructed by objects such as
newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
Keep the appliance away from liquids and heat sources. Do not place containers containing
liquids, such as flowerpots, on top.
Do not open the appliance, baring live parts that can be dangerous for the user. It does not
contain any useful parts for the user. For assistance, refer to qualified personnel.
Do not throw batteries into fire, short-circuit them, open them or subject them to excessive
temperature.
Batteries are not rechargeable, do not attempt to recharge them. Replace the batteries with
others of the same type. Do not use a new and an old battery or batteries of a different type,
replace both with new identical ones. Do not disperse batteries in the environment.
