INSTALLATION

For the installation of the automation, proceed as follows:
• Fissare al telaio della porta il supporto dell'operatore
EM 51. The support can be secured to the frame with
self-tapping screws or it can be welded onto rivetted
plates. The lower part of the support can be fi xed to one
of the traverses reinforcing the up-and-over door panel. If
the panel is not thick enough to allow a fi rm hold for the
self-tapping screws, the EM 51 operator support may be
welded to reinforcement plates rivetted to the traverses
of the frame (fi g.11 - 4).
Warning
The welding operations must always be carried out by
specialised personnel.
• Check that the telescopic arms, (fi g.12 - 1), can be placed
alongside the original ones (fi g.12 - 2) on the up-and-over
garage door; a space of at least 15 mm is required on the
side of the counter-weights.
• Position the connections, (fi g.13 - 3), of the female part
of the telescopic arm facing upwards as shown in the
fi gure, in line with the upper traverse, (fi g.13 - 4) , of
the door frame.
• With the door closed; position the EM 51 operator inside
the support profi le, so that the spline shaft rotation axis
(fi g.14 - 1) is 70-80 mm lower than that of the original
door arms, (fig.14 - 2). Once the correct position for
securing the EM 51 operator has been established, select
the support fi xing holes closest to the chosen position
and, using the bolts supplied in the package, secure the
EM 51 operator to the support (fi g.15).
