Safe positioning
(also read the 'Important' section)
• Do not place the heater right beneath a wall
socket.
• If you intend to use the heater in the bathroom,
place it in such a way that
- anyone having a bath or shower is unable to
reach the switches and other controls;
- it is outside the indicated areas (figs. 2 and 3).

• Do not cover the appliance in any way to avoid the
risk of fire.
• Position the appliance in such a way that the
airflow into and out of the appliance is not
obstructed.
• Put the appliance in a safe place to avoid electrical
shock and the risk of fire. Only touch the heater
with dry hands.
- This appliance can be used standing on the floor or
it can be mounted to a (fireproof!) wall by means
of the bracket (H) (type HD 3522 only). The wall
to which it is mounted must be solid, even and
fireproof.
Mounting the appliance to the wall
(type HD 3522 only)
- Push the small lug on the bracket (H) downwards
with a small screwdriver (fig. 4) and pull the
bracket off the appliance (fig. 5).

- Use the bracket as a template to mark the position
of the holes to be drilled.

- Drill the holes and fix the bracket to the wall by
means of the screws and rawlplugs provided (fig.
6).
- Slide the appliance correctly onto the bracket
('Click!') (fig. 7).

How to remove the appliance from the
bracket
- Always unplug the appliance first.
- Push the small lug on the bracket downwards by
means of a screwdriver and simultaneously pull the
appliance off the bracket.
For your safety, the bracket has been designed in such
a way that it is not possible to remove the heater
from the bracket without using a tool.

How to use the appliance

The selector switch (C) and the thermostat control
(D) enable you to select the following functions:
Selector switch (C)
O = Off. Both the fan and the two heating elements
are switched off.
> = "Cool air". Only the fan is switched on.

= Low position for gradual heating-up.
Half power: the fan and one of the two heating
elements are switched on.
2 = High position for quick heating-up.
Full power: the fan and the two heating
elements are switched on.
Thermostat control (D)
With the thermostat knob you can set a constant
room temperature.
When the selector switch is set to position 1 or
position 2, the heater will automatically switch on
(at half power or full power respectively) as soon as
the room temperature falls below the set
temperature.
As soon as the set temperature is reached, the heater
will switch off.
