General description

⇒ The AB 100 sedimentation tank (also called a clay separator) is the ideal support for environmental
awareness in the ceramic workshop. Glazes, clays and engobe residues are effectively collected and
removed from the wastewater before they reach the sewage system.
⇒ This appliance can be connected to practically any drain allowing flexible use. It is supplied complete with a
trap and inlet socket.
⇒ The odour trap serves as a drain into the sewage system. The inlet socket is used to connect directly to the
sink drain.
⇒ A cover (Item 8) for the three-compartment tank is available as an option.
⇒ The robust and shockproof plastic tank made of environmentally sound polypropylene is highly flexible due
to a mobile base on 4 castors.
⇒ The tank has a generous three-compartment system that prevents the blockage of pipes and leads to a
reduction in environmental stress. The dirt or foreign matter in the wastewater settles in the three-
compartment system on the bottom of the sedimentation tank.

Description of functionality

⇒ The sedimentation tank is usually installed between the sink and the existing drain to the sewage system.
⇒ While the tools and pottery utensils are being cleaned in the sink, the wastewater flows through the inlet
socket into the first compartment of the sedimentation tank, where the dirt in the wastewater settles to the
bottom.
⇒ As soon as the first compartment is completely filled with wastewater, the wastewater spills over into the
second compartment. The process is repeated in compartments two and three (three-compartment
system).
⇒ Dirt settles on the bottom of each compartment so that relatively clean wastewater ends up in the sewage
system.
⇒ The deposited dirt must be removed regularly (see the section on "Cleaning").
