DANGER
Risk of property damage!
Do not seal the trap (Item 4) with the sealing plug provided if wastewater is fed into the
sedimentation tank via the inlet connection. This could cause the sedimentation tank to
overflow.
6.2.

Using the sedimentation tank

Step
Description
1
Fill the sedimentation tank with wastewater until the outlet is reached.
The sedimentation tank is ready for use if the inlet and outlet connections fitted previously remain
2
tight.
The wastewater now runs through the sedimentation tank. Most of the suspended particles in the
3
wastewater settle in the calmed water compartments and can no longer get into the domestic
sewage system.
4
Drain and clean the sedimentation tank regularly.
6.3.

Note on the trap sealing plug

The filled sedimentation tank can be sealed with a sealing plug in the drain connection (Item 4). This may be
necessary if:
⇒ the sedimentation tank is to be moved when filled
⇒ or if there is wastewater in the sedimentation tank and the dirt needs to settle more while no wastewater is
flowing in from the sink.
Attention:
The drain connection must not be closed with the plug while wastewater is flowing from the sink into the
sedimentation tank.
7.

Maintenance

The sedimentation tank is practically maintenance-free. The three-compartment tank (Item 1) should be emptied
and cleaned at regular intervals.
