Folding the cup rack. Fig. 34
-
To make room for the tallest utensils on the upper basket, lift the cup rack upwards.
-
You can then rest the tall glasses against it.
-
You can also remove it if you are not going to use it.
Closing the cutlery tray Fig. 35
-
The spikes on the lower basket are used to hold the dishes and the tray.
-
You can lower them so there is more room for big utensils.
Preparing and loading the dishes
Use utensils labelled as dishwasher safe.
-
For some utensils, select a programme with the lowest possible temperature.
-
To avoid damage, do not remove the cutlery and glasses from the dishwasher immediately
-
after finishing the programme.
To wash the following cutlery pieces/dishes:
They are not dishwasher safe:
Cutlery with wooden, horn porcelain or mother-of-pearl handles.
-
Plastic articles which are not heatproof.
-
Old cutlery with glued parts that are not temperature resistant.
-
Enamelled cutlery or enamelled crockery.
-
Tin or copper articles.
-
Lead glass
-
Steel items that could rust.
-
Wooden trays.
-
Articles made of synthetic fibre.
-
Limited compatibility:
Some types of glass can lose their brightness after a great amount of dishwasher washing
-
cycles.
Silver and aluminium pieces tend to discolour after dishwasher washing.
-
Enamelled pieces may fade if they are washed frequently in the dishwasher.
-

The characteristics and appearance of the baskets may vary depending on the model.
-
Place the dishwasher items as follows:
-
Items like mugs, cups, pans/pots, etc. must face downwards.
-
Curved items or with holes should be loaded at an incline to allow water to drain out.
-
All items must be stacked securely and should not tip over.
-
All items must be positioned so that the spray arms can rotate freely during washing.
-
Place hollow items, like cups, glasses, pans, etc upside down so water does not accumulate
-
in the container or on deep bases.
Dishes and cutlery should not be placed inside each other or cover each other.
-
To avoid damage, cups should not be touching each other.
-
The upper basket is designed to place the most delicate and light tableware, like cups,
-
coffee and tea cups.
Long-bladed knives placed in an upright position are a potential hazard.
-
Long and/or sharp cutlery pieces must be placed in a horizontal position in the upper
-
basket.
Do not overload the dishwasher. It is important to get better results and a reasonable
-
energy consumption.
Note
Very small items should not be washed in the dishwasher as they could easily fall out of the
basket.

8. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

-
The dishwasher cleaning is important to preserve the machine shelf life.
-
Make sure that water softener has been adjusted correctly and the correct amount of
detergent is used to prevent limescale build-up.
-
Refill the salt compartment when the salt indicator light lights up.
-
Oil and limescale may accumulate in the dishwasher over time.
-
If this happens:
1. Fill the detergent compartment, but do not load any dish.
2. Select a high-temperature programme and let the dishwasher run with no load.
3. If this operation does not clean the dishwasher enough, use a cleaning agent designed to
be used in dishwashers.
-
To lengthen your dishwasher shelf life, clean the device regularly every month.
-
Clean the door gaskets and the door regularly with a damp cloth to remove any accumulated
remain or strange object.
-
Clean the control panel with a soft and slightly damp cloth.
-
Clean the filters and the spray arms at least once a week. If there are food remains or
strange objects in the fine and coarse filters, remove the filters and clean them thoroughly
with water.
