KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Swallowing can lead to
chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns
can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. Seek medical attention
WARNING
immediately.
23.2 Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
23.3 Do not allow children to replace batteries without adult supervision.
23.4 Do not short-circuit batteries.
23.5 Do not heat batteries.
23.6 Remove batteries from equipment if it is not to be used for an extended period of
time unless it is for emergency purposes.
23.7 Always select the correct size and type of battery most suitable for the intended
use. Information provided with the equipment to assist correct battery selection
should be retained for reference.
23.8 Clean the battery contacts and also those of the equipment prior to battery
installation.
23.9 Ensure that the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and –).
23.10 Remove exhausted batteries promptly.
23.11 Do not dismantle batteries.
23.12 Do not dispose of batteries in fire except under conditions of approved and
controlled Incineration.
23.13 Batteries may be disposed of via communal refuse arrangements provided no
local rules to the contrary exist.
