Burn (High temperature parts because of the testing process)
Components such as pressure pipes, injectors, valve adapters, sensor adapters,
among others can reach temperatures close to 100ºC during and after testing.
Test Fluid can also reach high temperatures during testing.
Therefore, it is mandatory to wear thermal protective gloves to handle these parts
immediately after testing, or to wait approximately 10 minutes for the temperature
of the parts to equal the ambient temperature.
The following reference for gloves for this application allows handling parts up to
250 ° C.
- Prevention
• Wear gloves.
• Do not lay cables of the testers close to hot components.
• Leave the equipment in operation only necessary to test or regulation.
• Leave to cool the equipment and devices in order to manipulate them.
• Do not use the equipment with open safety cover. The heated fluid may leak
test for a badly tight connection.
Fire and Explosion
Risk of fire and explosion because the calibration fluid is flammable with a rate
close to that of diesel.
- Prevention
• Never smoke while working.
• Avoid flames near the equipment.
• Avoid any source of sparks.
• Environment should have good exhaust and ventilation.
