6.
Inspection and maintenance
Due to the dirt and pollutant loads occurring during operation of the rainwater treatment system, the sys-
tem has to be checked and maintained at regular intervals to ensure that it is functioning correctly.
Maintenance of the system must be carried out by a properly qualified person*. We recommend conclud-
ing an appropriate maintenance contract between the operator of the system and an expert.
The system cover must be opened at the start of inspection or maintenance. After
completing the work, the system cover must be closed immediately, otherwise
there is a risk of accident.
The performance of the inspection and maintenance by the expert must be documented in the mainte-
nance log of the operating logbook.

Disposal
* Properly qualified persons are employees of independent companies, experts or other institutions who
can demonstrate that they have the necessary technical knowledge for the operation, maintenance and
inspection of the wastewater treatment plants to the extent specified here as well as the technical equip-
ment.
6. Inspection and maintenance
The water pumped out of the EcoPure 200, the sludge as well as the re-
moved media bags have to be disposed of according to the legal regula-
tions. Proof of the proper disposal of the filter media the extracted dirty
water and the sludge must be provided by entries in the logbook.
