6.2
Maintenance intervals
The system should be inspected at least every 12 months and serviced if necessary. All activities per-
formed should be documented in the logbook.
6.2.1 Replacement intervals of the media bags
In accordance with the DIBt approval principles for local rainwater treatment systems for treating the
wastewater from traffic areas used by motor vehicles, the GRAF EcoPure 200 has been proven to have a
minimum service life of one year.
Replacement intervals depending on the type of surface connected:
Type of connection surface according to DWA-
Slightly polluted areas
(roof and patio areas in residential areas, green
roofs, yard areas)
Moderately polluted traffic areas
(service roads, yard areas, small car parks)
Heavily polluted traffic areas
(main roads, large car parks, truck access)
Replacement intervals are to be coordinated with the responsible water authority. If necessary GRAF can
be contacted.
Note:
In the event of backflow into the flood plain, even with light rainfall, the media bags must be
checked for blockage regardless of the maintenance schedule. The filter media has to be
replaced if the necessary permeability is no longer achieved.
6. Inspection and maintenance
Maintenance independent of time intervals:
If the installation overflows more frequently than specified in the design, the
installation has to be checked for proper condition.
Visual inspection of permeability
After rainfall or during a dry period, no water should be left on the media
bags. If the water level on the media bags persists, these must be replaced
promptly.
