6. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
All maintenance operations must be carried out by qualified staff.
BEFORE ALL MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS, CUT THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY TO THE
MACHINE BY TURNING THE CUT-OFF SWITCH TO "0" and the cylinder must be cold.
The safety devices must not be removed (even temporarily) or modified. When in doubt,
contact your dealer's technical department giving the machine model and serial number.
NEVER SPRINKLE WATER ON THE MACHINE
An alarm can be programmed on the maintenance menu to warn that preventive maintenance
should be carried out (see section 3.4.2). This alarm is programmable per operating hour, so
after the programmed number of working hours, the alarm will appear on the display at each
programme start until a new maintenance programme is found or the alarm is deactivated.
Below is a table summarising the preventive maintenance that must be carried out and how
often:
Checking of all machine safety devices: Emergency stop, safety plate, handle
safety, safety thermostat, earthing (electric).
General cleaning: inside, in the frames (lint and grease), ventilation fan, stripper
blades, feelers, pressure switch piping, the entire folding system, ...
Check the condition of the feelers and their position (see section 4.5)
Replacement of the entire guide band set (See section 4.3)
Check and tighten electrical connections on the cut-off switch, heating contacts
and heating elements (electric heating only)
Photoelectric cell cleaning: PDE (HPS or folder only), PDM (HPS) and PDS (folder
only). To access PDS, power up the machine and force the "PDS" output in the
maintenance menu (output activation) - See section 3.4.2
