TROUBLE SHOOTING

PROBLEM
Machine does not operate.
Solution pump does not operate.
Vacuum motor does not operate.
Brush motor does not operate.
Poor pick up.
Uneven or no spray.
EX- -SC- -1020P (04- -10)
CAUSE
Faulty main power switch or wiring.
Tripped machine circuit breaker.
Faulty power cord.
Building circuit breaker tripped.
Overheated pump.
Faulty solution pump.
Faulty solenoid.
Faulty brush/spray switch.
Loose or broken wiring.
Vacuum motor thermal overload
tripped.
Loose or broken wiring.
Faulty main power switch.
Defective vacuum motor.
Worn carbon brushes.
Brush motor circuit breaker tripped.
Brush/spray button not pressed.
Faulty brush motor.
Loose or broken brush belt.
Faulty switch or wiring.
Loose drain hose plug.
Full recovery tank.
Clogged float shut--off screen.
Air leakage around recovery dome.
Loose vacuum hose connections.
Defective vacuum hose.
Loose vacuum hose cuffs.
Clogged vacuum head.
Pushing machine too fast.
Dirty or plugged spray tips.
Improper spray tip size or spray angle. Replace with proper tips.
Worn spray tips.
Solution tank low or empty.
Faulty solution pump.
Plugged solution tank filter.

SOLUTION
Contact Service Center.
Reset circuit breaker.

Reset breaker.
Determine cause, wait 20 minutes for
pump to cool and reset breaker.

20 minutes for motor to cool.

Remove brush obstruction. Reset
brush breaker button on switch box.

Cap drain hose securely.

Remove recovery dome and clean lint
off screen.
Tighten recovery dome knobs or
replace gaskets.
Secure connections.
Replace hose.
Secure cuffs to hose.
Dislodge debris from vacuum head.
Slow down cleaning process.
Clean or replace tips.
Replace spray tips.
Refill solution tank.
Contact Service Center.
Clean filter.
