8 BALANCING THE CEILING FAN
If the ceiling fan starts to oscillate when it is running, try the following options:
8.4
Check that all screws and mounting plate are adequately secured.
8.5
Swap the blades between each other.
8.6
Using the balancing kit
a) Remove the balancing kit, use the balancing clamp to remove one of the fan blades and
clamp the balancing clamp to the edge of the fan blade.
b) Turn on the fan and see if the ceiling fan oscillation has decreased. If the oscillation
does not improve, try a different fan blade, placing the clamp in the same location each
time. Experiment with all fan blades in turn to find the blade with the worst balance.
c) Attach the balancing clamp to the same fan blade, turn on the ceiling fan, and find
the best position of the balancing clamp to check the rocking balance.
d) Take the balancing sticker and stick the balancing sticker on the centre of the
blade at the location of the balancing clamp. If the load is still insufficient, attach
another sticker.
9 PRECAUTIONS
9.1 WARNING
-
To prevent fire and electric shock, it is forbidden to install and use
an electrical switch that is not suitable for this ceiling fan.
9.2 MAINTENANCE
1. It is recommended to check the connecting parts of the fan, such as the mounting
plate and fan blades, at least once a year to ensure that their connection is still safe
and reliable.
2. Regularly clean the outer surface of the fan. Use a soft brush or cloth to remove dust
from the surface. When removing oil or laminate, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth.
Do not rinse directly with water.
3. The motor bearing is already lubricated, do not add lubricating oil to the ceiling fan
motor. To avoid scratching the surface.
