Product description
General description
The equipment is an extraction unit for suctioning dust that builds up in dental CAM systems.
It can be operated manually or controlled using a CAM system.
The extraction unit is equipped with a bi-directional interface for communicating status information to the
CAM system and for registering control commands from the CAM system.

Startup
Setup
The extraction unit is a standing device. Do not operate it on its side.
If the extraction unit is placed in a closed cabinet, the warm exhaust air must be transported out
of the cabinet using one of the measures shown in figures A, B, or C at the start of this document.
• A: External air duct (see accessories at www.renfert.com).
• B: Opening in cabinet rear panel, specified dimensions, observe the minimum and maximum distances.
• C: Remove the back panel of the cabinet, distance from the back of the cabinet to the wall min. 50 mm.
Connection
Caution: Risk of injury!
When shortening the suction hose, make sure to cut the integrated wire as straight as possible.
Long suction tubes, tight bends and kinks greatly reduce the suction power at the suction point.
⇒ Shorten the suction hose if necessary.
⇒ Open the Velcro® strip (7).
⇒ Insert the suction hose end bushing (12) into the suction port (6).
⇒ Secure the suction hose with the Velcro® strip (7).
⇒ Connect the suction hose to the suction point of the CAM system. In doing so, observe the instructions
for use of the CAM system.
If the diameter is not suitable, use an adapter (see accessories) to avoid loss of suction.
⇒ Insert the interface cable for the CAM system in the CAM interface (8).
To connect the CAM system to the CAM interface (8), see the interface description in the complete
instructions for use available online and observe the instructions for the CAM system.
For remote control of the extraction unit, only use the CAM interface provided for this purpose.
In the case of CAM systems that only provide a switched mains voltage, it is essential that a type
F interface cable is used.
If the extraction unit is very frequently switched on and off using a power supply to the CAM sys-
tem, this can damage the electronics of the CAM system and of the extraction unit.
Before making the electrical connection, check that the voltage indicated on the nameplate match-
es the local voltage supply.
⇒ Switch off the unit at the on/off switch (3).
⇒ Unroll the power cord (9) and insert the power plug into a building electrical socket.
