General
Basically, you differentiate between "freehand drilling" and "drilling with a drill rig". The two
different operating modes are described below.
Assembly and disassembly tools are part of the full scope as well:
Wrench
AF 22
Wrench AF 32
Wrench AF 41
Freehand drilling
Mount the spot-drilling support onto the centering collar to ensure precise pointing.
Screw on the desired drill bit (up to max. Ø82 mm − approx. 3 inches).
(Manual tightening is sufficient, because the drill bit will automatically fasten during drilling.)
Connect the tool to water supply, using the "Gardena" hose couplings.
Connect the tool to the pneumatic supply.
Notice: Never switch into gear #1 in freehand drilling operation (high torque)!
Put the drill in drilling position and squeeze the trigger. Guide the machine by hand.
After finishing the drilling work, disassemble in reverse order following the mounting
instructions.
ATTENTION!
To avoid injury, actuate the lock knob item 2 only when drilling with a drill rig!
Changing of drill bits
Disconnect the machine from the pneumatic supply.
Use the single-head wrench AF 22 (small drill bits), or AF41 (large drill bits) and a wrench AF
32 to unscrew the drill bit.
Screw on manually the new drill bit.
Drilling with a drill rig (fig. 3)
Fix the rig at the required point.
(Fixing see operating instruction of the drill rig.)
Put the core drill into the holder and tighten it.
Screw on the drill bit.
Connect the compressed air and water supply.
Actuate the valve trigger to start the machine.
Actuate the lock knob to lock the valve trigger.
Continuous advance motion is adjusted by the star knob at the side of the drill rig.
Unlock the valve trigger to switch off the machine. Then shut off the water supply.
