Problem
Unit not working.
Not enough humidity
Fan not operating
Fan running continuously
Water leaks out of back of unit.
Poor evaporation of water.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
Probable Cause
• No power supplied to outlet.
• The On/Fan knob is not in the On
position.
• Humidity level is not set high
enough
• Reservoir is empty
• Dirty wick
• Ambient humidity level is not
3% or more below selected the
humidity level.
• Reservoir is empty.
• Float retainer is in dryout posi-
tion (see page 8)
• Humidity level is set to highest
position.
• Humidity level has not reached
the desired level yet.
• Water splashing during filling.
• Too much water added
• Check Filter message (CF)
message flashing
• Mineral buildup on filter (wick)

Remedy
• Check 120 volt power source
• Turn the left hand knob clockwise and note the
POWER indicator light come on.
• Turn humidity level up
• Increase fan speed
• Fill humidifier with water
• Replace wick
• Raise the selected humidity level if desired
• Refill the humidifier with water
• Reposition float to the normal operating position
• Setting the humidity to highest setting (65%)
causes the fan to run continuously. Adjust to a
level between 25% and 60%.
• Continue to run until desired humidity level is
achieved. This may take up to 48 hours initially
• DO NOT OVERFILL the reservoir. Note the "Full"
label in cabinet.
• Deflect fill water off the center of the splash guard
• Change to a new wick
NOTE: Local water varies from area to area and
under certain conditions minerals will build up more
rapidly in the wick
• Unplug unit for 1-2 minutes to reset CF function
